Keep Kennedale Beautiful board to place three Adopt-a-Spot signs, update procedures and application

Board members said three Adopt-a-Spot signs have been ordered and are in possession; the group needs to determine placement locations and will conduct a site survey in the coming days or weeks.

Members discussed specific potential adopters — including Thrive Coffee and two families referenced during the meeting — and asked Christian to survey likely placement locations and return with recommendations. The board said it will not install signs until placements are finalized.

The board discussed updating Adopt-a-Spot procedures and resubmitting a revised application. Members said they had attempted to update the application previously but the changes were not implemented; they plan to send the revised procedures and application to city staff for review and authorization.

At the time of the meeting the board reported 31 active Adopt-a-Spot locations; 23 participants had submitted reports for the fall sweep and staff planned to contact seven adopters who had not yet reported.
