The Seminole County School Board recorded several routine approvals and a curricular adoption during its April 8 meeting.
The board approved a last-minute addendum and a modification to the agenda that moved public comment on agenda items ahead of board items. The motion to approve the modified agenda passed by voice vote with Vice Chair Garrick, Member Dellinger, Member Sanchez and Chair Krauss signaling aye.
The board approved the consent agenda as presented; the motion carried by voice vote with no recorded opposition.

On instructional materials, the board adopted the Social Studies Adoption Committee’s recommendation for Advanced Placement Microeconomics and Macroeconomics and authorized the superintendent to purchase the committee’s chosen materials. The motion passed by voice vote; Member Sanchez seconded the motion, and the board recorded all votes in favor.
The board also announced a request for a closed litigation session on May 13, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. to receive advice on Parsons Ailing v. That scheduling request was placed on the board calendar.
