The Troy City Council on April 7 approved a contract award to Lindback Inc. under the Oakland County extended purchasing cooperative to reline pool drain piping at the Troy Family Aquatic Center and approved a budget amendment of $23,028 to the TFAC General Equipment Fund.
Recreation Director Brian Gould told the council the work is necessary to ensure the pool functions properly for the coming season and presented the contract amount of $23,028. He said staff recommended awarding the work through the county cooperative purchasing contract.
Council member Brooks moved approval and Council member Hodorick seconded; the motion carried on a voice vote with recorded yes votes from Mayor Baker, Council members Brooks, Chanda, Hamilton, Hodorick and Mayor Pro Tem Gunn.
Staff said the work is necessary for pool operation and that the purchase will be funded via a budget amendment to the TFAC equipment fund. No further discussion occurred at the meeting.
