Dr. Perry and district staff described the change as a negotiated memorandum of agreements with multiple bargaining units to implement a “free market health” approach for prescription coverage. District staff said the agreements focus on GLP‑1 class drugs and establish prior-authorizations and other controls intended to reduce prescription spending for both the employer and employees.
Board members praised district negotiators for completing agreement language across multiple units. The motion to approve the memorandum of agreements was made by Mr. Casey, seconded by Mr. Blakely, and carried 7–0.
