The Disability Issues Advisory Board confirmed quorum and adopted its posted agenda at a virtual meeting on April 8, 2025. Vice Chair Theresa Smith announced the meeting at 6:11 p.m. and said, "There being no objections, the 04/08/2025 meeting agenda is adopted."
The board then voted to approve the March 18, 2025 meeting minutes as distributed; Theresa Smith announced, "The 03/18/2025 meeting minutes are approved."
During agenda-item discussion the board moved and seconded a motion to strike the report of the chair from the April 8 agenda. DIAB member Theresa Smith moved the motion and DIAB member Ms. Bowman seconded it; the chair announced the motion was adopted by no objection.
A separate motion by DIAB member Vickery to set an interim meeting date for broader subcommittee review was placed on the floor, seconded, discussed and then withdrawn by the mover; no vote on that date occurred.
The meeting adjourned at 7:16 p.m.; the board noted its next virtual meeting date as May 20, 2025 and asked members to check the Prince George—s County Board of Education website for updates.
