The Susquehanna County Board of Commissioners proclaimed April 13–19, 2025, as Telecommunicators Week and designated April 9, 2025, as National Library Outreach Day, the board said during its regular meeting.
Commissioner recorded the proclamation for Telecommunicators Week and called attention to the county’s 9-1-1 operations; John Collins, the county’s 9-1-1 director, was present to receive the proclamation and was thanked by the board for his staff’s work.
The board also approved Proclamation 2025-14, proclaiming April 2025 as National Library Week and April 9 as National Library Outreach Day in Susquehanna County. Several library staff attended; an on-record speaker identified themselves as a library representative and thanked the commissioners for recognizing the outreach program. The representative said the library operates nine deposit stations, conducts outreach to nursing homes and other non–brick-and-mortar locations across the county, and named long-serving outreach staff Marybeth Mance and Donna Horn for their work. The speaker also noted the children’s librarian, referenced in the record as Mrs. Reed.
