The Susquehanna County commissioners on Tuesday approved several contracts and procurement actions, including a purchase-of-service agreement for children and youth services, a solicitor-services contract, and an award for county excavating services. The board also voted to re-advertise bids for a New Holland tractor and for basement windows after no bids were received.
Commissioners approved entering into a purchase-of-service agreement between "Susquehanna County Children Youth and Community Specialist Corporation" and The Academy in Pittsburgh, Pa., as recorded in the meeting minutes. The motion carried by voice vote.
The board approved a professional services agreement for solicitor services between the Court of Common Pleas of Susquehanna County Domestic Relations (DRS) and John R. Williams Jr. The contract terms recorded in the agenda set solicitor fees at $100 per hour and $50 per hour for travel and training, effective April 1. The motion was recorded as carried.
Separately, the commission awarded the county excavating services contract for bridge repair, restoration, maintenance, dam restoration and other county projects for the period March 26, 2025, through Dec. 31, 2026, to Kenral Excavating Incorporated of Montrose. The award was announced from the agenda and approved by the commissioners.
The board also recorded no bids were received for the New Holland tractor and for basement windows; commissioners voted to re-advertise both procurements. For the New Holland tractor the commissioners voted to "re-advertise" after confirming no bids were received; for the basement windows the board voted to rebid the work.
The transcript records voice votes of "aye" for the motions; the minutes do not include roll-call tallies or additional contract attachments in the spoken record. The meeting packet referenced during motions likely contains full contract terms and scope documents.
