Homelessness Planning Council members seek working group on council operations and possible downsizing

India moved to convene a temporary, publicly noticed working group for HPC operations. Staff reminded members that under open-meetings rules any gathering of multiple council members discussing HPC business must be publicly noticed; Allison (Office staff) said a publicly noticed meeting was already scheduled for April 16 at the Metro Office Building and could serve as an initial venue.
Members discussed the value of committee participation as an alternative route for engagement; several chairs and members said substantive work often occurs in committees and that the all-chairs meeting and strategic-plan tracker help coordinate activity across committees. Raquel (staff) said the Initiative Efficiency group planned a survey about making Continuum of Care meetings more effective and would share results with general membership.
No formal vote to change the HPC charter or membership was taken; members asked staff to publicly notice an operations conversation and to coordinate any follow-up within Sunshine Law parameters.
