The vendor’s system handles rare functions — notably financial-aid disbursement for adult learners — that district staff said typical K–12 SIS products handle only partially.

Board action A motion by Member Combs, seconded by Member Perez, to approve C201 passed unanimously. Members asked staff to return with a plan describing how the Vision system’s financial-aid functions will integrate with Focus and with district accounting systems.
Next steps Staff agreed to provide a follow-up report showing integration options, any data export paths and a timeline tied to the Focus implementation.
