Oklahoma County rejects all proposals for opioid-abatement RFP, will reissue a more defined solicitation

Staff said the AG’s office recommended that the county reject all submissions and issue a more clearly defined RFP so the scope of services would match prior grant awards. The county referenced an earlier procurement (G25001) in which a partner selection and grant application had previously been made with the University of Oklahoma; staff said the new RFP needs to specify comparable scope to allow selection of a similar vendor.
The board moved and seconded a motion to reject all proposals for G25-002. The motion passed with commissioners voting in favor and no recorded opposition.
County staff said the recommended next step is to prepare and publish a revised RFP describing the services and vendor expectations more explicitly; the county did not provide a publication date for the new solicitation during the meeting. The county also did not announce a replacement partner or estimated timeline for contracting or grant-funded program start-up during the session.
