Jackson budget committee approves routine payments, contracts and project items; defers $3.86 million note sale

The Village of Jackson Budget & Finance Committee on April 8 approved minutes, routine payments and multiple project-related requests and contracts, and deferred action on a proposed $3.86 million general obligation promissory note sale to the village board.

The committee voted to approve the minutes from its March 11 meeting and recommended that the Village Board approve the March 2025 check register and the treasurer's report. Trustee Madder moved to approve the March minutes, and the motion was seconded by Trustee Wells; the committee approved the motion by voice vote.

The committee recommended several project payments and contract actions. It approved a decrease in an unspecified project cost of $88,166.05 following a recommendation from the Board of Public Works. It also recommended payment request No. 13 for the wastewater treatment plant and tertiary filters to JH Hassinger in the amount of $256,975; that motion was moved by Trustee Madder and seconded by Trustee Wells.
