On April 8, 2025 the Haralson County Planning Board recommended that the Board of Commissioners rezone 2.5 acres at 247 Pine Street (Map 302, Parcel 47) from AR‑1 to AR‑2 to permit subdivision into smaller residential lots.
Chelsea, Development Services planner, said the lot is currently a nonconforming AR‑1 parcel (under five acres) and the applicant proposes to subdivide; there are AR‑2 parcels across Pine Street. Staff stated the plat has not yet been recorded and must be signed by Development Services and recorded before the rezoning takes effect.
Applicant Edward Jovan told the board he has arranged to get water service run to the property and described plans for one lot to be sold and another for family use. No public opposition was recorded. The planning board voted to recommend approval; the item will appear before the Haralson County Board of Commissioners for final action in May.
