The Finance Committee voted 3-0 on April 7 to declare miscellaneous equipment and five vehicles as surplus based on a request from Blake Graves, the city’s fleet maintenance director.
Graves told the committee the list contains older tools and equipment, some furniture from the fire department, and five vehicles for which replacement parts are no longer available from the dealer. Committee members discussed vehicle models on the list (several Dodge Chargers among them) and approved a motion to surplus the items so they can be disposed of or sold according to city policy.
Mister Brandt moved the motion to approve; it was seconded by a committee member and the vote was recorded 3-0 in favor. Graves and staff will follow the city’s surplus process for disposition of those items.
