Village board sends Windows 11 upgrade back to finance committee for review

Trustee Pieper had argued the original packet contained inconsistent information and that the technology replacement list was presented as a blanket cost rather than device‑by‑device comparisons. She said the initial estimate of roughly $150,000 had since been revised and that the board needed clearer, itemized pricing before approving replacements.
Trustee Rick Miller said he had checked Dell pricing and found figures roughly consistent with the packet, and staff stated the current proposal had revised the number of replacement units. After discussion the board voted to refer the item back to GGF for vetting of device counts, peripherals and the final budget impact. "Make a motion to send this back to GGF for further review," Pieper said; the motion carried.
Staff told the board they would present a clarified, device‑level breakdown and any peripheral needs (monitors, docks, etc.) to GGF before returning the item to the full board.
