Plan Commission approves consent agenda, minutes and meeting schedule; several development items pass unanimously

The Madison Plan Commission on April 7 unanimously approved the March 17 minutes, a multi-item consent agenda covering zoning and development items, and scheduled the commission's next meetings on April 28 and May 12 and 19, all virtual at 5:30 p.m.
The consent agenda included ten development items staff recommended for approval without separate hearings because applicants accepted required conditions and no opponents had registered. Those items (Legistar numbers follow) were read into the record and passed together: 87459-10-19 (transportation project plat for Mineral Point Road acquisitions), 87450 (zoning text amendment related to lodging), 87462 (conditional use, 306 N. Brooks St.), 87463 (alteration of approved conditional use, 414 S. Baldwin St.), 87464 (demolition permit, 1241 Moreland Rd.), 87465 (conditional use, 2352 S. Park St. temporary outdoor event), 87466 (conditional use, 5004 Trade Winds Pkwy for indoor recreation), 87467 (conditional uses for indoor/outdoor recreation and tavern at 1110 Demingway / 8701 Blackhawk Rd.), 87468 (conditional use with drive-through at 6501 Kilpatrick Ln.), and 87472 (final plat approval for First Addition to Hill Valley at 1051 S. Pleasant View Rd. and 1050 S. High Point Rd.).
A motion to approve the consent agenda was made and seconded; seeing no objections the chair recorded unanimous approval. The commission also voted to approve the March 17 minutes by unanimous consent after a motion and second.
The chair announced upcoming meeting dates: April 28 and two meetings in May (May 12 and May 19), all to be held virtually at 5:30 p.m.
Ending: With no registrants for general public comment and no requests to separate consent items, the commission completed routine business quickly and moved on to scheduled hearing items.
