The Hatboro‑Horsham School District will present a revised procurement policy (Policy 610) for first reading at the April 28 legislative meeting after a brief legal review, policy committee members said April 7.
DJ Schultz, who led the policy committee portion of the meeting, said the administration recommends retiring policies 611, 612 and 613 and consolidating procurement rules into one unified Policy 610. Legal reviewer Mr. Musa recommended one minor textual change — inserting the words “the next” before “legislative action meetings” — to clarify that a contract the superintendent executes on behalf of the district should be approved by the board at its next legislative meeting.
With that minor edit completed, the administration plans to reinstate Policy 610 for a first reading on April 28, Schultz said. No formal vote on adoption was taken at the April 7 work session; the first reading will be on the April 28 legislative agenda.
