IEA grant update: two IEA Center projects remain — door replacement and accessibility ramp

District staff updated the board on the IEA Center Emergency Supplemental Historic Preservation Fund (ESHPF) grant and described remaining work that must be completed.
Presenting the item, Bobby Lockley said the grant was monitored on Jan. 21 and that the federal monitor was satisfied with work and records. Two projects remain: replacing exterior doors (cost estimated at $98,000) and constructing a handicap ramp to provide accessible entry (estimated at about $150,000). The construction finance committee previously obligated about $15,000 for two accessible parking spaces to connect to the ramp.
Lockley said the district will also modify the front entrance to allow secure closure when the building is not in use. Monitoring documentation requested by the federal monitor was delivered and noted as complete.
No board vote was required on the update; staff said they would continue to complete the ESHPF work and supply required on‑site documentation.
