He said Remnant Construction is meeting project timelines for Legacy High and Fort Pierce Westwood Academy.
Dr. Prince also reviewed district preparations for upcoming high-stakes assessments, reporting visits to multiple schools where staff had rehearsed testing procedures, discussed adaptive testing strategies with students and coordinated logistics such as breakfast plans and test proctoring to reduce student anxiety. "It's that one meaningful relationship that a student has with an adult," he said, describing how arts and other programs can create transformational outcomes for students.
He listed several upcoming district events, including the Young Floridian Awards (April 13), a North County career fair (April 22), the St. Lucie County Education Foundation Scholarship Award Night (April 24) and the district safety festival (April 26). No board action was required on these informational items.
