The Wissahickon School District Board of School Directors approved a series of routine agenda items and committee recommendations on April 7, including the 2025–26 board meeting schedule, consent items, personnel actions and facilities change orders.
Votes taken (voice votes unless otherwise noted):
- Approved the 2025–26 board meeting schedule (motion made and seconded; voice vote passed).
- Approved agenda items 11.1–11.6 as presented (board secretary consent items; motion passed).
- Approved the treasurer's report for 02/28/2025 (motion passed).
- Approved human-resources action items 13.1–13.3, which included a retirement, appointments, a change of status and co-curricular postseason pay; one appointment is an interim assistant-principal fill-in through an STS provider to cover days the prior fill-in could not serve (motion passed).
- Approved curriculum and technology action items 15.1–15.2 (motion passed).
- Approved facilities change orders 16.1–16.3. The board described two change orders related to a BlueBell project and one related to the Wissahickon stadium bleacher replacement; board members discussed the inevitability of some unforeseen change orders when site work reveals concealed conditions (motion passed).
- Finance committee reported a more challenging budget year and said the committee prepared a draft budget to be submitted to the state; the board expects to vote on a budget version at a meeting scheduled for April 28 (discussion; direction to continue preparation).
- Approved finance items 17.3–17.14 as presented (motion passed).
