Superintendent reports first NY electric school bus with wheelchair lift, middle school construction and calendar changes

He reviewed revised last‑day information for the school year: the last day for grades 9–12 will be Monday, June 16 (exams continuing through June 25); the last day for grades 6–8 will be Monday, June 23 (with June 20 and June 23 as half days for middle school); and last day for grades UPK–5 will be Tuesday, June 24 (with June 23 and June 24 as half days for elementary students). He stated the schedule could change if an emergency closing occurs.
Daley also noted the district was featured in two recent School Administrators Association of New York (SASNY) publications highlighting district literacy work; links are on the district homepage.
Ending: The superintendent scheduled outreach and information sessions on the middle school reconfiguration and said the district will update the community once the state budget is finalized and as construction milestones are reached.
