Board told all Jordan schools completed 2025–26 school land trust and TSSA plans; consent approvals planned

The Jordan School District board was briefed Tuesday that all schools have completed their 2025–26 School LAND Trust and Teacher and Student Success Act (TSSA) plans and that district staff have vetted them ahead of board review.
Dr. Michael Anderson, associate superintendent, told board members that every school’s LAND Trust plan has already been approved by its school community council and that school administrators have reviewed the TSSA plans. Anderson said a district administrative assistant had checked budget codes and signature pages and that a checklist is available for board members to review.
Anderson said the TSSA plans should follow the board’s framework and focus on coaching, professional learning or school‑based initiatives tied to classroom instruction. He asked board members to review their assigned schools and noted each board member was assigned their own schools plus one additional precinct for review.
If there are no further concerns, Anderson said the staff will place the plans on the consent agenda for the board’s general session in two weeks for approval. He encouraged board members to leave specific notes in the plan documents if they have questions and to follow up with him so staff can direct them to the appropriate school for resolution.
Board members requested a rubric previously used to guide reviews of plans; Anderson said he would check whether that rubric is already incorporated into the current checklist and, if not, would distribute it to members.
No vote was taken during the study session; Anderson said the consent agenda approval is expected at the next general session unless a board member requests otherwise.
