The Richmond Town Council approved two contract awards during its meeting. Councilors awarded a Statistical Revaluation Services contract to Vision Appraisal for $68,600 following a competitive solicitation. Town administrators said the firm has prior positive experience in Richmond and was the low bidder.
Separately, the council awarded a $14,500 contract to Westway Construction for improvements at the police station. Staff said the work will be funded from a federal grant; Westway was the low bidder on the project and has performed well on previously awarded work for the town.
Councilors asked the police chief about vendor experience and were told Westway had been responsive and that lockers and other work are scheduled for installation. Both awards passed by roll-call votes.
