The Richmond Town Council voted to confirm multiple appointments to town commissions and accepted a recent resignation during its regular meeting.
Councilors approved the reappointment of Jim Turek to the Conservation Commission (term expiring 01/31/2028) after a motion to discuss and consider his reacquaintment. The council also accepted, with regret, the resignation of Bryce Kelly from the Planning Board.
The council appointed Thomas (Tom) Marin to the Finance Board for a term expiring 11/30/2028. For the town's 250th Commission, the council nominated and appointed Mark Trimmer; councilors discussed expanding the commission roster at a future agenda to include the other finalist, Miss Voycocks, if the council agrees.
The council filled two Recreation Commission vacancies by appointing Kate Schimmel and Erin Weiss to terms expiring 01/31/2028. Jordan's reappointment to the Dog Park Committee was approved with the term expiring 01/31/2027. Motions were seconded and roll-call votes recorded; the council recorded unanimous "Yes" votes on these items.
Council President called for any additional applicants for remaining vacancies and reminded the public that open positions remain for certain commissions.
