The vote came during a special called meeting limited to the ambulance purchase. The court established a quorum, a motion to authorize the judge to sign the purchase contract was made and seconded, and the motion carried unanimously. Court members and staff discussed fleet availability and repairs: speakers noted the county had been operating with three ambulances out of service and that one vehicle recently returned to service.
Court staff said they received fleet and mileage information and that one vendor has offered a loaner vehicle. Staff and members asked that contract adjustments requested by a member (Cam) be incorporated; staff said they would double-check the revised contract and share the signed document after finalizing insurance details. The judge also said he had informed Mayor Jenkins of the purchase plan.
