The North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency hosted a lottery to allocate 40 affordable housing units at the Residences at Nomi, agency Executive Director Annabelle Emmanuel said.
The drawing used random.org to produce a randomized list of applicants by their application codes, and a live screenshot of the results was displayed during the event. "This evening, we are conducting the lottery for 40 units that are going to be reserved for affordable housing units at the Residences at Nomi," Emmanuel said.
Emmanuel said the first 40 applicants listed by application number will be contacted by CRA staff to complete the next steps in the process. She said the results will be posted on the CRA website, will be available at the CRA office at 735 Northeast 120 Fifth Street, and can be provided by phone to callers who request them.
The announcement closed with congratulatory remarks to those selected and a note that staff would follow up individually with selected applicants to "further their process," Emmanuel said.
