District reports midyear literacy and EOC trends; kindergarten growth corrected

Camden County Schools curriculum staff presented midyear assessment data showing literacy growth and preliminary End-of-Course trends.
Miss Hager presented reading and EOC information and corrected an earlier chart error: kindergarten growth reported as 35% in one visual should read as 60% growth from baseline. She said K–5 completed MClass testing and that, based on current trends and historical comparisons, the district is on track to meet or exceed prior year reading readiness in most grades.
At the high-school level and for the early college program, staff reported stronger-than-expected proficiency on some EOCs. Miss Hager said English II scores improved notably and that math 3 proficiency increased compared with prior years. She also noted that biology EOC reporting will be delayed until August because the test is based on new standards and a new administration schedule.
Staff framed these results as midyear trends; final growth rates and full-year results will be available after second-semester data.
