Curriculum staff reported the district received grants totaling $147,720. The district credited CTE director Ms. Overton and CNI support Ms. O'Kelly for work on a "Plasma Games" grant — a secondary science gamification platform — which will provide classroom licenses at the middle and high school levels. Staff also said they received a health careers promotion grant to support health-program activities.
Northley said she presented an allotment overview to the Board of Commissioners at their administrative retreat last month and will repeat that presentation for the board during the upcoming budget work session. The board was given the budget book and told to review it ahead of the March meeting when budget details will be discussed further.
No specific spending reallocations or fund amounts beyond the grant total were approved at the meeting.
