Middle school students plan outdoor classroom between sixth- and seventh-grade halls

She said the high school construction class will build the picnic tables, giving students hands-on experience in construction while providing furniture for the outdoor classroom.
Forbes said the school will begin flower-bed relocation and then procure additional materials once ground conditions improve. She described the space as an opportunity to take instruction outdoors and to provide students with fresh-air work areas on suitable days.
No board action was required; the presentation was informational and intended to request the board’s endorsement and awareness of the project.
