The Pewaukee Common Council approved the city’s 2025 spring weight restrictions for local roads, citing wet ground conditions that can weaken roadbeds during thaw.
City staff said the restriction will begin at 6 a.m. on Monday, March 10, and end at 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, with the possibility of extension on 48 hours’ notice depending on weather and road conditions. The posted limit for restricted roads is 6 tons. The list of restricted road sections follows the pattern used in recent years, with one change: a section of Green Road between Duplainville and the Redford Ramp was removed from the restriction to accommodate business operations in that area.
Staff said the date of March 10 is firm and that notices will be posted on the city website and social media; staff reported they have already been notifying affected businesses. The council moved and approved the ordinance enforcing the temporary weight limits (capturing the city ordinance number referenced in the staff report as 5052, section 2).
