Stillwater Chamber reports Project Rohan, Google data center win and expanded site outreach

Carrie Moore, director of economic development for the Stillwater Chamber of Commerce, briefed the Stillwater Economic Development Authority on April 7 with a quarterly report that highlighted business recruitment wins and outreach growth.

Moore said Project Rohan is closed, the chamber closed on the sale of land for a data center park, and Google announced an acquisition related to that project. She told trustees the chamber’s site consultant database has grown to “over 100 contacts,” and the chamber has launched Stillwater Economic Development social accounts on Facebook and Instagram and plans LinkedIn soon.

Moore described impacts as supporting job creation through recruitment and expansion; attracting new investment and a more diverse population to the Stillwater economy; and building a framework for sustained economic development. She said the chamber has met or exceeded most contractual performance metrics and is reviewing areas where targets have not yet been met.

Trustees and councilors congratulated the chamber for its role in projects tied to the Pady Center, Kingspan and USA Rare Earth activity. A trustee noted the chamber’s use of nondisclosure agreements during site recruitment and praised its presence at site-selector conferences in Orlando where staff met potential investors.

Moore asked for continued trust and partnership from the city as the chamber transitions into the next stage of its contract and work. No formal SEDA actions were required for the report.
