ETHS honors dozens of newly tenured teachers; board scheduled vote on tenure resolution

Associate Superintendent for HR (name introduced as Doctor Bramley during the meeting) and assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction Pete Davis introduced and described individual honorees across departments, including athletics, world languages, student services, special education, science, math, arts and innovation, and academic supports. Presenters highlighted classroom contributions, leadership roles, committee service and student supports.
Among the acknowledgements: the ETHS boys basketball team was introduced earlier in the meeting and coaching staff were thanked; members of the world languages, student services and special education departments received tenure recognition accompanied by colleagues’ remarks. Presenters named specific honorees (for example, Christine Soufares, Liz Medina, Emily Alexander, Corey Lou, Jasmine Weber, Marissa Scheid and others) and spoke to their roles and impacts in the district.
The recognition program was ceremonial and informational. Later in the meeting the board approved a resolution granting tenure appointment by roll call vote (see "Votes at a glance" article in this package for the formal motion and outcome recorded in the April 7 session).
