Paris council approves replat to allow completion of home at 1145 Lehi/Levi Lane

PARIS, Texas — The Paris City Council on April 8 unanimously approved a replat for Lot 26, Block A (listed in the agenda with ELCAD/parcel code 108965) to allow completion of a single-family home at the address shown on the agenda as 1145 Lehi Lane.

City staff told the council the replat is needed to accommodate adjustments to drainage and utility easements tied to finishing construction on the lot. "This replat is requested for the completion of a home on Levi Lane and they're moving around drainage easement or, utility easements. So it was necessary to replat this property," a staff member said during the presentation. The staff recommendation was approval with no conditions: "So we were recommending that the plat be approved with no conditions," the staff member said.

Mayor Parton moved to approve the replat, saying, "I'll make a motion we pass item number 3." The motion received a second and passed unanimously, recorded as 6–0.

The action was taken during a short special meeting that opened a public forum (no one spoke) before taking up the replat. The council then proceeded to a separate replat request for a commercial parcel on Northeast Loop 286 and adjourned after that vote.

No additional conditions, permits, or related variances were discussed on the record at the meeting. The agenda listed the parcel and address; staff used a slightly different street name in describing the site (Levi Lane). The council did not provide further details about the builder, permit timeline, or related inspections during the meeting.

Council members voted on the motion without individual roll-call votes being read aloud; the meeting audio records the tally as "motion carries 6 0."
