The Safety Harbor City Commission on April 7 ceremonially swore in Matthew Hall as a firefighter EMT.
Fire Chief Andrew Hawkins told the commission that Matt Hall was hired in March 2024 and completed his probationary period the previous month. "Matt was hired as a firefighter EMT in March of 2024 and completed his probationary period last month," Hawkins said.
Hall is assigned to B shift and, according to Hawkins, is currently enrolled in paramedic school and expected to graduate this fall. Mayor Joe Ayub joined the department and Hall’s family for the oath and a subsequent photograph. The event was presented as part of the commission’s presentations and included the formal oath to support and uphold the constitutions and the charter and laws of the City of Safety Harbor.
The swearing-in was ceremonial; no formal vote was recorded. Hall’s wife, Nicole Hall, and other family members were in attendance for the presentation and photograph.
