Board approves consent agenda, addendum and new club charter; adjourns meeting

The Wappingers Central School District Board of Education approved its consent agenda, voted separately to add an addendum and approved a new club charter for Van Wyck Junior High School’s Griffin Backstage Club during its April 7 meeting.
The board first approved a package of consent items (6.02, 6.03 minus the addendum, 6.04, 6.05, 6.06, 6.07, 6.08, 6.09, 6.10, 6.11 and 6.12) by motion of Marie Johnson and a second from Virgil Cavallari. The motion passed unanimously. Meeting minutes state the consent resolution text and the list of items approved.
Following that vote the board took up the addendum (item 6.03 addendum) separately. Trustee Kellen moved to add the item, seconded by Mr. Sloshower; the motion passed unanimously and the addendum was approved.
Later in the meeting the board considered a new student club charter. The Board resolved to approve the Griffin Backstage Club charter at Van Wyck Junior High School. The motion to approve was made by Marie Johnson and seconded by Virgil Cavalieri; the vote was unanimous.
The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn moved by Trustee Johnson and seconded by Trustee Kellan; the board adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
