Melissa Weatherweck, representing the sign company, and staff presented the application, which proposed one wall-mounted sign totaling about 34.12 square feet on the north elevation and a second sign of about 9.94 square feet at the northwest corner. Staff told the board the proposal meets the ULDR criteria for sign scale, location and illumination and the application limits signs to a maximum of two per business.
Board members asked about spacing and visibility between the two signs; staff and the applicant explained the corner sign is intended to improve visibility for drivers approaching the corner. A motion to approve the certificate of appropriateness (case UDPHB25033) passed after a second; the approval is subject to standard building and zoning approvals.
