The City of Fort Lauderdale Historic Preservation Board on Tuesday granted an applicant’s request to defer review of work at 701 Southwest 12th Avenue until the June meeting.
Board Chair Arthur (chair, Historic Preservation Board) announced the request after staff told the board the applicant had asked for more time. An individual identifying themself as the applicant told the board they were “working with an engineer” and expected to complete the documents within a few days; the applicant and staff agreed to keep in touch if additional time was needed.
The board made a motion to defer the item to June, the motion was seconded, and the chair announced the motion carried with board members verbally saying “aye.” The board noted the applicant must continue to coordinate with staff and obtain any required building or zoning approvals before the item returns.
No formal findings of fact or policy determinations were made at the meeting; the item will be placed on a future agenda when the applicant provides the outstanding materials.
