Staff noted changes in the packet clarifying scope of services, a temporary storage arrangement coordinated with public works, and coordination of street closures with the police chief; primary closure would be Nichols Road. Brian Henry, board president of the Monona Community Festival, told the council the organization will continue drop-off and pick-up procedures for festival materials.
Councilor Doug moved to add wording that wherever Brian Henry is identified as the festival contact the agreement also read "or his successor or designee." The council also added a sentence requiring the licensee to pay any city invoice within 30 days. Both amendments were seconded and approved; the council then approved the amended agreement.
Brian Henry thanked the mayor and council for the support. City staff said they would prepare a clean final agreement and obtain signatures.
