Safety Service Director (Pajanowski) told council on April 7 that the ambulance-feasibility study team from Fitch & Associates completed an initial site visit and information-gathering session the prior week.
Pajanowski said the firm sent assessors with fire-service backgrounds and that they met with city administration, fire leadership, LifeCare, 9-1-1, the department's medical director and visited all fire stations. He said the assessors asked detailed questions, performed site visits and requested additional data identified during the visits; the city will provide that information to Fitch & Associates.
"I thought it went exceptionally well," Pajanowski told council, and he said he would inform council when the consultants provide time frames for next steps. No formal action was taken at the meeting; staff will deliver the additional data to the consultants for analysis.
