Hingham School Committee introduces Dr. Christine Panarisi as executive director of student services

The Hingham School Committee on April 7 introduced Dr. Christine Panarisi as the district’s permanent executive director of student services. Panarisi will begin her appointment on July 1.
Committee members thanked Dr. Barbara Cataldo for serving two years as interim executive director of student services after being pulled out of retirement to guide the district’s special-education work. "We were very fortunate to get a waiver that allowed us to pull her out of retirement for those two years and are grateful for all of the progress that has been made," a district official said.
Panarisi said she is honored to join the district and plans several in‑district days between now and her July 1 start date to meet staff and finalize an entry plan. She noted she has already participated in both virtual and in‑person sessions with families and will continue meeting with teachers, leaders and parents to prepare for next school year.
Committee members said the central office leadership team — including the interim assistant superintendent, business director and HR coordinator — is now in place and will support Panarisi’s onboarding.
