The Greensville County Board of Supervisors on a roll call vote approved Resolution 25‑75 to relocate the polling place serving Precinct 403 and directed staff to notify the State Board of Elections.
County staff told the board that the Electoral Board found the current site to be inadequate and after seeking alternate locations within Precinct 403 and within a one‑mile boundary they could not find a suitable site. The Electoral Board recommended the conference room at Golden Leaf Commons; that room lies just beyond the one‑mile radius, so the county must forward the board’s action to the State Board of Elections for final approval.
The motion to approve the resolution was made, seconded and approved by roll call. No members of the public signed up to speak at the public hearing held as part of the agenda. The board’s approval is a local administrative step; state review is the next requirement under Virginia election law.
