During the Dec. 9 superintendent’s report, district leaders recognized staff and community partners for financial stewardship and community programming.
Superintendent Dr. Robinson invited Assistant Superintendent Aaron Norris to the front of the meeting to acknowledge the district’s preliminary audit results. The auditors at Baker Tilly reported no material audit findings, marking two consecutive years with no material issues, Dr. Robinson said. He named members of the finance and business services teams for their roles in maintaining the district’s financial processes.
Dr. Robinson also recognized recreational staff Ty Stahl and Maggie Oft for organizing the West Allis Christmas parade and Maggie Oft for hosting a Kinder Market that let youth entrepreneurs sell handmade goods. The superintendent thanked volunteers and school choirs who participated in the city tree-lighting event.
The board noted a donation from the Zeman Family Foundation that supplied gifts to more than 700 families; the superintendent described the foundation’s support as a major contribution to the district’s holiday programming. Board members and staff also praised the growth of the district’s theater program after the intermediate school production of Mary Poppins Junior broke attendance records.
No financial action or budget changes were announced at the meeting; recognitions and thanks were the items presented.
