So that's all this amendment does is it keeps what the senate did, and it kept the fiscal stuff we did in the long bill." The committee adopted that amendment and then moved the committee's first report on SB199.
Why it matters: moving a fiscal note into the long bill means the budget implications will be decided as part of the state budget process rather than embedded directly in SB199, the committee said. Committee members described the change as implementing the negotiated funding approach already reached in budget discussions.

The roll call recorded ayes from Coleman; Durand; Lundin; Pugliese; the Speaker; and the Majority Leader. The chair declared the motion passed unanimously.
