Liberty County BOE approves agenda changes, appoints GSBA delegates and moves to executive session

The Liberty County Board of Education unanimously amended its agenda to remove the Georgia School Boards Association legislative positions, approved minutes from the Feb. 25 meeting, approved the consent agenda and appointed a GSBA delegate and alternate before voting to enter executive session for personnel and property.
Board members voted to remove the GSBA legislative positions from tonight’s agenda and defer consideration to the March 25 meeting. The board then approved the minutes of its Feb. 25 meeting without changes and approved the consent agenda, which included an out-of-state travel item and an emergency generator replacement that will return for formal approval at a later meeting.
Board members appointed Miss LaCount as the GSBA delegate and Dr. Martin as the alternate to represent Liberty County at the GSBA Savannah meeting in June. The motion to appoint the delegate and alternate passed by voice vote.
The meeting concluded its public business with a unanimous motion to go into executive session for personnel and property matters.
No roll-call vote with individual board member names was recorded in the transcript; all motions were carried by voice vote and the chair announced each motion as carried.
