Parents, students and residents urge ConVal board to appoint Brad Davis as head football coach

“I have never had more respect for anybody on the football field than Brad Davis,” said Roman Cadwalader, identified in public comment as a senior. Multiple speakers described Davis as “the best coach you could ask for,” and said he provides continuity, mentorship and a family atmosphere for players. A number of speakers said Davis had paid for equipment out of pocket and remained heavily involved with younger players.
Other public-comment speakers also used the period to ask the board to be more present in schools and to thank staff: Erin Pills Martin of Antrim urged board members to attend school events and visit classrooms, while teacher representatives from PES highlighted recent elementary‑school activities.
The board accepted public comments but did not answer or act on them during the public‑comment period, consistent with its stated practice. No formal personnel action on the head‑coach position was recorded in the meeting minutes or transcript during the session.
