Public Service Commission approves minutes, investigation notices and $47,500 intervener award to Citizens Utility Board

The Public Service Commission at an open meeting Thursday approved the minutes of its Jan. 16, 2025 session, authorized notices of investigation for several agenda items and a notice of proceeding for another, and granted the Citizens Utility Board $47,500 in intervener compensation for participation in several dockets.

The actions were taken by voice vote. A commissioner moved each approval and another commissioner seconded; commissioners responded “Aye” on each voice vote and the chair declared the motions approved.

The commission approved the minutes of the open meeting of Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, following a motion recorded in the meeting transcript. Commissioners then approved notices of investigation associated with agenda items 2 through 8 and a notice of proceeding associated with agenda item 9.

The commission also approved a request from the Citizens Utility Board for intervener compensation in the amount of $47,500 for its participation in dockets identified in the meeting record as 6,630 CE316, 6,630 CE317, and 6 6 3 0 c g 1 4 0 (as read into the record). Later in the meeting the motion to approve the Citizens Utility Board’s intervener compensation request was moved and seconded, and the chair recorded the outcome as approved.
