Platte County schedules three public hearings to update traffic sign ordinances

Bob Heim, Director of Public Works, said the county has not updated the ordinance schedules for regulatory signs in some time and that he coordinated with road districts and municipalities on proposed updates. "By state statute 304.13 we are required to post public notice in several different places," Heim said, and staff recommended holding hearings on April 21, May 5 and May 19.
The commission approved resolution 2025RES028 to call the public hearings. Staff said the hearings and public notice are statutory requirements and are needed to amend the county’s list of regulatory signs.
