Pitt County to launch online permitting and licensing system
Tim Corley, deputy county manager, said Pitt County will soon launch an online enterprise permitting and licensing system that will let contractors, developers and homeowners apply for permits and track reviews and inspections in real time.

"April is National County Government Month, a time to highlight the essential services counties provide to keep our communities running smoothly," Corley said. He described the new system as a way to simplify permitting processes and speed service delivery.

Corley said the system will let users apply for septic and well permits, building permits, site plans, erosion-control and stormwater permits, make online payments and view permit statuses. "Create an online account, and with just a few clicks, view permit statuses and track inspection and plan review progress all in real time whenever and wherever you need," he said.

The county said the tool is intended to reduce delays and make it easier for residents and businesses to interact with county permitting staff. Corley added, "Pitt County is excited to offer this service, making it easier and faster for you to do business. Pitt County is leveraging technology to improve services, reduce delays, and build a stronger tomorrow."

For more information, the county posts details on its website at www.pittcountync.gov.
