Commission appoints Jeffrey Daugherty to Board of Equalization, thanks outgoing member Kyle Estes

Christian County commissioners approved the appointment of Jeffrey Daugherty to the county Board of Equalization for a three-year term and agreed to send a letter of thanks to outgoing member Kyle Estes.

Assessor Danny Gray introduced Daugherty, identifying him as a Keller Williams real estate agent and saying the board needs members who understand property value. Gray thanked Kyle Estes for 12 years of service and asked commissioners to appoint Daugherty. The commission moved, seconded and approved the appointment by voice vote.

Presiding Commissioner Lynn Moore asked the clerk to prepare a letter of appreciation to be sent to Estes. No compensation details beyond a brief comment that the position pays approximately $25 per day were formalized in the record.

The commission recorded no further discussion and moved on to other agenda business.
