Weber County Commission recognized animal shelter kennel technicians

Commissioner Bolles recognized Amanda and Corey, kennel technicians at the county animal shelter, during a meeting recap recorded April 1. The two staff members described routine shelter duties: monitoring dogs’ safety, providing food and water, arranging veterinary care and preparing animals for adoption. Corey said staff work with animals that have behavioral issues and coordinate with rescue groups when safe handling is not possible. Bolles said the recognition was prompted by a coworker’s recommendation praising their extra effort.
