Central services reports $11,106.67 in March savings; committee approves minutes and bills

Cathy Owens, chairman of the LaSalle County IT and Central Services Committee, opened the April 4 monthly meeting and the committee approved the previous meeting minutes by voice vote.
The committee heard a March activity report from Tracy, a central services staff member, who reported microfilm processing, scanned-image counts, postage and other central services activity and said the department recorded $11,106.67 in total savings for March.
Tracy reported the following March figures: 60,625 processed microfilm feet; 1,720 scanned images (63,869 cited in the report); 19 copy machines and 3 digital printers referenced in inventory counts; and monthly central services bills of $42,052.23. Tracy said reimbursements to the general fund totaled $3,003.71; central services postage expenses were $11,128.58, circuit clerk postage $685.61, county clerk postage $85.45 and ROE postage $271.90. Additional line-item savings cited were postage savings of $378.52, e-certified savings of $695.60 and shipping label savings of $32.55. Tracy summarized those figures as a total savings of $11,106.67 for March.
Committee members moved and seconded to accept Tracy’s report and to pay the related bills. The motions passed on voice votes. The committee also approved payment of the bills presented and accepted the previous meeting minutes at the start of the session.
The meeting recorded no public comments on these items and no further action on the central services account was taken during the open session.
